CRE Activities

The following list represents clubs and organizations that are offered at Cedar Ridge Elementary. A brief description of the purpose or a mission statement of each has been provided. The club sponsor is listed after the description. Please contact the sponsor with any questions.
 
CRE Chorus:
  • Sponsor: Mrs. Oexmann - [email protected]
  • Purpose: To expose students to a wide variety of musical styles while emphasizing the development of musical skills and understanding. Chorus is only offered in fourth and fifth grade.
  • Meeting Days/Times: Once a week in the music room - see Mrs. Oexmann's website for more information
 
4-H:
  • Sponsor: Mrs. Harley - [email protected]
  • Purpose: To provide students with the opportunity to learn leadership, citizenship, and life skills. 4-H is provided to all 5th grade students in the classroom monthly. 
  • Meeting Days/Times: Provided to all 5th grade students once a month in the classroom
 
Junior Beta Club:
  • Sponsor: Mrs. Gray - [email protected]
  • Purpose: To promote scholarship, character, and service.
  • Meeting Days/Times: Jr. Beta inductions will take place in the spring, meetings will take place once a quarter from 2:50 - 3:10
News Show:
  • Sponsor: Ms. Johnson - [email protected] , Mrs. Campbell - [email protected] 
  • Purpose: To provide students an opportunity to participate in the news show and build speaking skills. The news show is only offered to fifth grade students at this time. The news show broadcasts each day. Each fifth grade classroom will have an assigned month to choose students to speak on the news show.
  • Meeting Days/Times: Each morning at 8:40 in the Learning Commons
 
Safety Patrol:
  • Sponsor: Coach Schultz - [email protected]
  • Purpose: To give leadership opportunities to students as they mentor younger students in safety procedures while at school. 
  • Meeting Days/Times: Morning Drop Off (8:10 - 8:40)
 
Sport Stacking Club:
  • Purpose: Cup stacking sport club. This club is offered to 3rd - 5th grade students. 
  • Meeting Days/Times: November 2024 - Once a week 8:00 - 8:35
